On Sunday, Yana Zhuravel and her family went to visit the grave of Ms. Zhuravel’s grandmother at a cemetery in Brooklyn.

What they found at Washington Cemetery in Midwood was that the gravestone and from the looks of it, a dozen others had been toppled by what is now becoming a familiar culprit: city Sanitation Department snowplows. Snow piled against the iron fence from outside, along Bay Parkway, knocked over the fence and what appear to be about a dozen gravestones, said Ms. Zhuravel, a lawyer. {read more} NY Times
