911’s MOUNTING FATALITIES

The number of documented deaths among World Trade Center rescue workers has reportedly soared since last year.

A representative from the New York State Department of Health told the New York Post Sunday that 817 workers have died since the attacks, up from 664 deaths last September.

Officials tell the Post the rise is mainly due to city agencies and WTC medical programs sharing more records and say they’re continuing to collect cases, meaning that number could rise.

“It’s the tip of the iceberg,” said David Worby, who is representing 10,000 workers – 600 with cancer – who say they got sick after working on rescue and recovery efforts. NY1
